Public Space - Amsterdam Noord
Feeling like working remote for the day, or just looking to find a nice coffee or breakfast spot? Look no further: Amsterdam Noord is where you want to be. Besides favorites as Sir Adam, Tolhuistuin, Coba and het Mandelahuisje, Public Space is the latest achievement of ever-creative Amsterdam Noord.
Okay, a co-work place might not be the sexiest thing to write about, but we like to make an exception for Public Space. Because: creative, still relatively unknown and slightly different. The place is run by three cheerful friends together with their + 1's. All very familiar with the global coffee scene. For example, one was at Starbucks' headquarters and others worked as baristas in America's coolest coffee bars. Public Space bundles that passion and experience into a friendly project that is accessible to everyone. In Amsterdam Noord, a five minute walk from the Buiksloterweg ferry and around the corner from the Adam Tower.
Public Space is located on the ground floor of a brand new residential tower in Amsterdam Noord. For this project the owners joined forces with the Amsterdam architects of Habitats of People who took care of the design. The result? A grand minimalist space full of concrete (sounds boring, but isn’t) with a vintage seating area here and there, large plants, enough workspaces and a sleek coffee counter with open kitchen in the middle. It’s already a beloved spot for freelancers, bloggers and other guests - as well as with the Northerners who pop in for breakfast or lunch.
