Scorpios - Mykonos

Mykonos might just have the most exciting restaurant scene of all of the Cyclades. Boho-chic enclaves hidden in parched landscapes serving the best that the Mediterranean has to offer. Wether it’s a fancy white wine-lubricated lunch or a simple dinner at a small taverna; Mykonos has got you covered. One of our favorites that is setting the scene is Scorpios.

Scorpios is one of the few projects that comes straight from the hand of Claus Sendlinger. To many this will not ring a bell, but this best man is the founder of Design Hotels of the World . The label for authentic design hotels worldwide. His resume include Ibiza's hotel-hit  La Granja , San Giorgio Mykonos (born in 2012 as a pop-up hotel, starting 2020 changed to Soho Roc House) and now Scorpios.

Scorpios can best be described as a kind of Burning Man meets Nomad enclave, done with a lot of style and eye for detail. Expect plenty of wood and pottery, rattan and bamboo benches, Moroccan cushions, worn Persian carpets, fire pit here and there and an occasional well-dosed scent of aroma. It is a beach club, restaurant, bar, bazaar and house in one with fantastic views of the Aegean Sea. The House (part of the beach club) may not be the first place you want to hang out on a sun-drenched day, but it is recommendable to take a peek inside. Even if it is just for a dose of home deco inspiration. The minimalist interior has been done by the German designer studio of LAMBS + LIONS, who have also worked on the Casa Cook hotels.
