Pages Rooms & Café - Siem Reap
Whenever architects decide to start a side project and touch something new, you just know something good will be revealed. Pages Rooms & Café is one of those projects. An unpolished boutique hotel with cafe, built out of weathered concrete, wood, terracotta and white marble. We would say this would be the coolest place to stay in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Pages Rooms & Café was created by Asma Architects . An acclaimed duo that previously worked on several Cambodian hotels (uber-chic Viroth's just to name one) and have now decided to try their luck with their very own boutique hotel. The result is a a multifunctional address where travelers, locals and creatives meet; it’s also living proof that affordable and authentic top design hotels exist.
The hotel is housed in a 1960s building where only the bare essentials have been done. The concrete walls are left mostly untouched and the tile floors have been there for over half a century. On the one hand authentic and at times even a bit simple - on the other hand it adds a contemporary and industrial feel. In the cafe you’ll find the latest design magazines alongside vintage furniture from Asma Architects surrounded by battered concrete walls. A picture perfect place to enjoy good coffees and all-day breakfast and lunch.
At Pages Rooms & Cafe you’ll be in one of its nine rooms or two apartments. All compromise a queen-size bed, a large rain shower with Bodia Spa bathroom amenities, stocked minibar and a small terrace or balcony. As inviting as it sounds our favorite place in the hotel is the salt water pool, a tropical theatre with a bamboo garden on one side and giant banana plants on the other. To top it all off Pages lunch and bar service extends right to the pool side.
You’ll find Pages Rooms & Cafe in the quiet Wat Bo neighborhood, located on a less than 10 minute walk from the city center of Siem Reap. Enjoy the benefits, at quiet distance away from the lively center. Your stay at Pages Rooms & Cafe comes with free airport pick-up service by tuk-tuk and daily breakfast.
