Sir Victor - Barcelona
The very first Sir hotel on the Spanish mainland has opened its doors in the heart of the Eixample neighborhood. Named after one of the most iconic Catalan writers Sir Victor is the latest addition to the Dutch collection of ‘Sir’ boutique hotels. We tried, we tested and we recommend. Do yourself a favor and sleep with Sir Victor.
Sir Victor is a hommage to the Catalan sun, sea and beach culture. A hommage which carelessly floats throughout the entire hotel. From a generously filled glass of cava at check-in and Catalan art in the bedrooms to a Mediterranean terrace with swimming pool and tapas bar at the rooftop. During hot summer days this is the place to lounge with a good book, in the evenings it turns into a lively place with mix of hotel guests and locals. As icing on the cake the roof terrace has pretty views on Gaudi’s iconic Casa Mila. Trust us, it doesn't get more Catalan than this.
Its 91 rooms are bright and modernly decorated. All range from the ‘smaller’ Sir Boutique's (35m2) to 60m2 Sir Suites. Whatever room type you choose, all come with a good king-size bed, Zenology bathroom amenities and a well-stocked minibar. In addition, quite a few rooms have a balcony with views on the Passeig de Gracia. For the enthusiast, each guest room has a supply of books by Catalan writers on the shelves. Might just come in handy for those sunny afternoon pool sessions.
To close off: the location. Sir Victor is namely on the brink of touristy Eixample and Barcelona's undisputed ‘it’ neighborhood Gracia. Where everything is a bit more quiet and local. The beaches of Bogatell are a fifteen minute bike or Uber ride from the hotel.
Rooms starting at EUR 220 per night, excluding breakfast. Sir Victor.
