The Greens Berlin
In the jungle of Berlin concept stores, there is one that’s hard to forget. And why woud you, when it combines two things we all love: coffee and plants. The Greens Berlin is for those that like some Calathea with their Latte.
Located in the backyard of the 'Alte Münze' (once a coin factory, now a creative space with regular parties and exhibitions), The Greens is a project by Marie Henze who wanted to create a conscious café and plant store under one roof. The kind with local and (where possible) home-grown products. The coffee comes from Berlin roasters, the milk from the German eco-village of Brodowin and the vegetables and herbs (partly) from their very own vegetable garden. Most options on the menu are ‘in season’ products, with a good selection of vegan options.
Next to good coffees, The Greens also does plants. Lots. Of. Plants. From ever hip pancake plants and monsteras to not so common foliage of which we didn't even know it existed. All carefully selected by Marie herself. Guess it’s clear: no better place in Berlin to get your caffeine fix and get some plant inspo than down at The Greens.
